The Story Behind JoySeeker Living

How one moment changed everything—and led me to feel better, move forward, and live well.

When my daughter was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, everything changed. I became her full-time caregiver. Life became completely focused on getting her through it. I was doing what I had to do and I did it with everything I had. But behind the scenes, I was running on empty. Some days I felt like I was barely holding it together. I was depleted — physically, mentally, emotionally — and I knew I had to do something to care for myself too.

It’s not about doing more — it’s about doing what matters

Little by little, I started building small practices that helped me feel like a more grounded, more focused, intentional version of myself.

At first, these practices were simple and close to home. I shared them with my daughter and they supported her in ways I hadn’t expected. What started as a way to survive became a way to reconnect, rebuild, and eventually thrive, for both of us. I began to share them more broadly with those closest to me and saw how much they helped. That’s when I knew I wanted to share them with you too!

Why JoySeeker Living Exists

JoySeeker Living helps people reconnect with what matters most to them—so they can rebuild (or discover) mind and body well-being in a way that’s intentional, personal and totally sustainable.

The Work I Do

Over the years, I’ve supported hundreds of individuals, caregivers, professionals and organizations in finding a more grounded and hopeful path forward.

I bring together lived experience, a Master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology (the science of human flourishing!), and more than 20 years as a Registered Dietitian and Social Service Worker to help people feel better in their bodies and minds—on their terms.

What Makes This Different

JoySeeker Living isn’t a wellness trend or a one size fits all approach. It’s a personalized framework that brings together:

Z

Positive Psychology – research-backed tools that help you build motivation, clarity and resilience

Z

Mind-Body Practices – nutrition, movement, and lifestyle shifts that support energy, mood and overall well-being

Z

Real Life Integration – because lasting change happens when wellness fits into your actual day-to-day life

This work is personal. It’s practical. And it’s built to last.

What I Want You To Know

I created JoySeeker Living because I needed it too. Life brought me to a place where I had to choose: stay where I was, or find a new way forward — toward balance, clarity and wellness. If you’re at a similar crossroads, I want you to know this:

It’s never too late to feel good in your body, clear in your mind and hopeful in your life.
